The Cylinder Crisis
Across African estates and households, LPG is still distributed through heavy physical cylinders. Residents carry them up flights of stairs. They run out unexpectedly. They pay inflated middlemen prices with zero accountability or transparency.
No Digital Infrastructure
There is no integrated digital system connecting energy producers, distributors, and consumers in real time. Fuel station owners call depot managers on the phone. Truckers are dispatched without GPS. Everyone operates in the dark.
A Health & Safety Crisis
The WHO estimates 600,000 deaths occur annually in Africa due to household air pollution from unsafe cooking fuels. Women and children bear the greatest burden. Toxic smoke causes respiratory disease, eye damage, and long-term organ harm.
An Economic Drag
Without reliable energy, children cannot study at night. Businesses cannot operate without interruption. Women spend hours collecting firewood instead of engaging in economic activity. Energy poverty costs Africa an estimated $17B in lost productivity annually.
